I have been a proud customer of The Tie Shop for MANY years. The founder Dwan Christensen and I became good friends while our sons where in high school and then served LDS missions at the same time. We would get together with other moms and commiserate and support each other and Dwan would supply the ties.

Dwan was one of the most amazing women you could ever meet. She was always happy, supportive, upbeat, loving, and truly kind. She is one of those women people just really wanted to be around. She built a wonderful business selling well-made ties at a good price suppling missionaries and weddings.

Unfortunately, while her son was serving his Mission in Brazil she was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. It didn't slow her down. Luckily she lived long enough to see her son return, meet a cute girl and get married. But not too long after, the world lost a treasure.

Dwan's son Riley and his wife Paige have taken over her store and are doing great things with it including adding an online store and are on the boutique circuit. Riley and Paige are continuing the legacy of love and kindness started by Dwan. They are wonderful business owners and I love to support them.

They asked me to photograph some of their ties for their website, social media, and other advertising. I was more than excited to help out. We met at one of my favorite photo locations in the valley and spent the afternoon photographing models in ties. I had a great time. I have to admit I was even a little more fun because three of the models were my son, grandson and daughter-in-law.
